Palliative Care
Our health services have a strong focus on pain management and palliative care. We respond to the needs of the terminally ill and those suffering from cancers and chronic diseases like Sickle Cell Disease and Arthritis. Care is provided to outpatients, inpatients and through regular community home visits. We have a team of clinicians especially qualified and recognised by the Palliative Care Association of Uganda. https://pcauganda.org/
Chronic Disease Management
Yotkom is leading a new focus to address the rising number of non-communicable diseases in Uganda. We are seeking to improve regular monitoring and supervision of patients who are diagnosed with long term conditions like High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Chronic Heart, Liver and Kidney diseases as well as HIV and Tuberculosis. We have established a dedicated clinic for regular expert review of these patients, called:
Pi Kwo Clinic (English translation: “For Life Clinic “)
Telehealth Services
To improve access and reduce costs for health care to isolated rural communities in Northern Uganda and South Sudan, Yotkom has launched a telehealth service called Cim Pi Yotkomi (phone for your health). A consultation with one of our doctors can be arranged by mobile phone. This can reduce the need especially for our chronic disease patients to travel long distances for essential reviews.
